Enclosure Fittings

This section deals with the miscellaneous details generally required to complete the assembly of a Node, from board 'stack' interconnects and antennae to enclosure mounting and external sensor connectivity.

As noted elsewhere, most of my current projects can be housed in one of two commonly available enclosures—a 100mm × 65mm enclosure, that comes in 50 mm and 40 mm height variants, or an 85mm × 58mm enclosure, although this appears to more recently be being marketed as an 83mm × 58mm enclosure (I've not purchased one of the latter yet, so I'm entirely certain that they are exactly the same). While I have also recently created a basic prototyping board for a 63mm × 58mm enclosure, I haven't done anything more with this one.

As seems to be the nature of these things, requirements continue to expand. The Power Switch Node application ultimately required the use of a larger enclosure. In this case, I sourced a locally supplied, 130mm × 95mm enclosure from the NHP N-Line range.
